Thanksgiving Sweet Potatoes and Mushroom Stroganoff

The recipe for Sweet Potatoes, Apples, and Walnuts is not in Super Immunity, but it is a Dr. Fuhrman recipe so I decided to include it.

We fixed it for our Thanksgiving dinner and I really liked it. In ways the apple-saucy taste overwhelmed the sweet potatoes, but it had a sweet taste and I loved the occasional walnut. I think it might even add a few more next time.

One comment on Dr. Fuhrman's site said that it tasted great but it wasn't that beautiful. I agree with that.

I was really excited to try the Mighty Mushroom Stroganoff. Mark loves mushrooms and so do I (but not quite to the level he does).

Unfortunately I didn't like this recipe. I thought it was bland and I didn't like the texture of the sauce. It also doesn't have that sour cream flavor that I equate with stroganoff.

Mark didn't like it either at first, but then he doctored it up with salt and Tapatio Sauce. Then he said he really liked it. He said he'd even like to have it again. That's good because we have tons left.

I found a stroganoff recipe on Dr. Fuhrman's site, but it wasn't this recipe so I can't give his rating.
